There are many activities to enjoy at Black River Manor aside from the Tactical Pistol Training sessions. Your family will enjoy camping beneath the stars, smoked food cookouts, nightly bonfires, nature hikes, fishing, blueberry picking, ax-throwing, and other awesome outdoor activities.
When and where will the training take place?
The training will occur between Black River Manor and our sister Airbnb property in the vicinity of South Haven, Michigan. We will provide you with specific event details, including times and locations, upon your registration for the event. This event is a beginner-level tactical pistol training course, presented mainly in a classroom, in addition to some closely monitored live-fire practice.
Who is the instructor providing the training?
Todd Heaton, owner, and manager of Humilitas First, LLC, will provide this exclusively designed course. Todd served in the Springfield Police Department in Springfield, Illinois, from July 1991 to July 2017. He retired as a Lieutenant, co-leading the Professional Standards Division, Internal Affairs.
Todd has earned credentials with the USCCA as a Concealed Carry and Home Defense Firearms Instructor. Todd also earned credentials with the National Rifle Association (NRA), as a Pistol Instructor, and an NRA Chief Range Safety Officer.
Where will attendees stay during the course?
There are local lodging options that are available that should be reserved in advance for the event dates. Our enhanced tents are available at a rate of $450/night for the larger wall tent, or $325/night for the medium-sized Avalon tent. Both tent options will accomodate up to 5 people.
Can I cancel and receive a refund?
Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds on our Exclusive Events as the value associated with each event is too extensive to allow cancellations.
